For my birthday this year, I got the *ahem* prestigious honor to watch the Minecraft movie in theaters. And... it was... uhh... it was an experience. Like, it didn't even feel like a movie. It was completely surreal. A live-action animated hybrid with hyper-realistic characters starring Jack Black as Steve sounds like a joke idea me and my friends would come up with. But here it is. And it cost $150 million to make. Or course, the movie didn't take itself too seriously, and to give it credit, it had some funny moments. I'm also glad that Steve and Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison got together by the end of the movie. This isn't what I would've wanted in the slightest from a Minecraft adaptation, but I think I'm glad such a movie exists because I can truly say it's an experience like no other. Although, the upcoming Minecraft Netflix series is definitely cushioning the blow a little. As for the rating... I don't know if I can even justify one. Like I said, it didn't even feel like a real movie. But I guess, in terms of actual quality, I'll go..... 4/10? ════════════════ "There was a character named Chungus" -Cab
