Instructions

Real fur can be ethical in many ways, whether that is where you got the fur from to how it was sourced. Buying fur from places like etsy or local hunters are the best ways to go when looking to buy real fur. Make sure that the shop is from either North America and Europe and avoid sites like Alie express, amazon, shein and temu. You should also check the prices, and you shouldn't be paying anything less than maybe £25. My tail cost £33 and £54 with shipping and tax. Generally the more expensive it is, the better quality. And a higher quality generally indicates a better life. The best way to check if fur is ethical or not is the shape and the leather. If it's thin and kinda patchy looking as well as cheap, don't buy it. If it looks quite thick, the fur is soft and expensive, then it is most likely ethically. Also, the leather would be very well tanned if it is an ethical tail (I suggest looking at pictures). Ethical tails can come from fur farms such as Orangelionfurandtaxidermy. Ethical taxidermists would only visit countries and places with high welfare standards and would happily answer any questions you send to them in detail and may give pictures if asked. The fur from these places are normally very good quality, very soft and the leather is flexible and quite soft and smooth. Other ways ethical fur can be sourced is roadk!ll and hunting. The fur isn't normally as good quality as farm fur as its been out in the wild and exposed to the elements and therefore can be slightly damaged.
