Blue Jay sat on the floor, his heart filled with stone-cold grief. How could his parents let that happen to her? After all this time, how could his own sister, who had seen Bird's d3ath as well, side with them? How could she not resent them for all they had done, not just to their family but to all the dragon families. Parents had lost dragonets to them, for a stupid system that didn't even work, yet Dove kept working with them, insisting they had done it for the better of everyone. How could she fall for such lies? It was like she was living off what they said, truth or not. "You're doing the right thing, Jay." Glitch murmured to him. "I know." He responded, his voice quiet and hoarse. "All you have to do is stop anyone who tries to get in the way of our happy ending. Even your own sister, where and when it comes to it." She said softly, secretly wishing Blue Jay would make his mind up and end White Dove once and for all. "But.. What if I can get them on our side, what if I can get them to see just how much they've hurt everyone?" He looked up hopefully at Glitch with wide, blue eyes. "You can't Jay! She's fallen to their lies, just like you will if you keep saying these things! There's no getting them back, no matter what you do! I'm sorry that it's like this but there's nothing we can do but keep going." Glitch curled her tail around Jay's comfortingly. "After that, you do not need to k!ll family. You already have family that will stay with you, high and low, me but you'll also have Solia, Luna and so many others to be with you, you wont ever have to think of those lying traitors ever again. I promise." Jay was quiet for a moment before sighing and hesitantly agreeing with her. "I guess you're right, I know that I'll always have you and for that, I'm grateful. Thank you so much Glitch." They both smiled. "Isn't that what best friends are for? Knocking some sense into the other when we start to go crazier than we already are." She laughed and Jay whacked her with his tail playfully. A loud knock came from the door. "May I come in?" A voice asked. "Yes, come join us." Jay responded. Side-by-side, Lantanas and Forsythia walked into the room, both of their expressions dark. "It's time, they're here and they've brought White Dove with them." Lanta said quickly and quietly yet without rushing. Glitch and Blue Jay shared a look before getting up and padding out of the room. The siblings followed them respectfully. "Thank you both, please get the others ready, we must face them now or there is no chance for truth." Uhh that's it for now! I hope you like it and I might add more later!
