“joy has a name, hope has a name, love has a name, peace has a name, patience has a name, and that name is my lord JESUS!” - a man at my church <3 happy easter! while the bunny, eggs, and candy are all a fun part of this holiday, remember that this is not the true meaning of Easter, Jesus, our lord and savior, endured pain and died for us on the cross, so that we could be free from our sin. hallelujah to him, for going through this pain all for us; we, undeserving people of God, never had to pay the price for our sins because Jesus loved us SO MUCH that he sent his son to die for us. people mocked him and yelled insults, they even casted lots on his clothes, demanded him to get down from the cross if he really was the lord, as he endured this brutal death all for us. us! but no, that was NOT the end. far from the end; “he’s alive, he’s alive, he’s alive, hallelujah he’s alive!” three days after his death on the cross for our sins, he arose from his tomb, before sunrise, a resurrected, loving king. this is what Easter is about, how Jesus conquered sin and death and arose from his grave; people cried, cheered at his resurrection, the ones who mocked him fell at their feet, now knowing that he really was the son of God. who else could’ve risen from the dead other than Christ himself? now you know what Easter really means. the day he conquered death and arose from his tomb!
