--"Leela! Get out the door!" Katie, my older sister yelled. --"I get it, jeez! Just let me get my backpack." I said back. This was going to determine my entire singing career! Ok, maybe it was just middle school choir auditions, but I was only in the second-highest choir. I wanted to go higher--be in the highest rank of them all. --"What're you daydreaming about, Leela?" My sister asked me in a playful tone. --"Ugh, I just wanna be in the highest choir in eighth grade." --"Well, atleast you have a chance. You have perfect pitch!" She replied. "I sound like a chicken when I try to sing." --"Yes, you do." Leela chuckled. Katie steered the car towards a tall building. --It was Leela's school. --"Well, good luck up there, Leela." Katie said as Leela walked out of the car. "Break a leg!" --"Thanks!" Leela yelled before she sprinted into the building. --Once I was in the waiting room to be evaluated, I seemed more and more ready. --I knew I had a shot to make it. --And I would. --No matter what it took.
I'm not in choir at all, so this isn't my best work--and idk how choir auditions work either, lol. I'm pretty much clueless about this. Btw I'm writing here after the 5 minutes is done bcuz this is how I feel about this piece of writing: It's............okay................ish............meh. I think I could do better, but I wanted to come up w/ the topic spontaneously after the timer started, so I didn't brainstorm before hand. I hope this is okay for you guys!
