Instead of seeing well-made games that deserve to be trending, such as color crusade or other games with effort, here we see multiple "games" that are completely blank, "games" that belong under animations or music, "games" that are designed just to get clicks from kids in the younger generations, and sometimes copies of another game causing the original project to get none of the popularity it deserves! heck even one person copied themself on this list!! Anyways, this all traces back to just a few things: 1. Tag spam. Yes, I know almost everyone does it, but that doesn't mean it's good. people usually end up spamming so many tags, and most of them are completely irrelevant to what the project actually is! 2. "Trend" followers. People will look at what they think is a new trend, and make projects about it, no matter how bad said trend is. This is why there are so many Sprunki clones on the site, and so much other random nonsense. 3. Lack of knowledge. I know this one sounds rude, but hear me out. most newer scratchers don't know how to make a good game, or how to create animations, or design sprites. It's the job of the older scratchers to help teach the new ones, to ensure that this website-our community- remains able to thrive. People who just spread hate on people's projects without giving any feedback whatsoever only demotivate and discourage scratchers, which has resulted in many scratchers quitting from all the hate that they receive. So, to summarize: 1. Don't use random tags. use ones that actually relate to the project. 2. Don't just remix popular projects and not change anything. Imagine if this was real life. You would go to jail for stealing, right? 3. Don't spread hate without providing help. It's okay if you don't like a game, but don't just call it terrible and report it. Leave feedback! How do you think they could improve the game? 4. This wasn't covered in the rant, but DO. NOT. IMPERSONATE. It is RUDE, it is PLAGURISM, and most of all, IT IS IDENTITY THEFT. When you impersonate someone and start spreading hate to others, you are ruining their life. And that isn't a joke. If you decide to impersonate a popular scratcher, Don't use it in order to hate on others, see if they're ok with it first, and if they tell you to stop, STOP.
