We were about halfway to the city when we were stopped by what I thought was a zombie, but it wasn't. It stared at us like it knew us... like it knew Socks and Vegas. And it wasn't a zombie, it was a cat. When my eyes adjusted to the sun, it looked really scary. His face, chest, and his ankle on his bottom right foot were zombified, but the rest of him was fine. He began to speak, and started off mocking Vegas that he wasn't dead. Vegas whimpered that she thought he was, but he said that he'll never forget the betrayal of his own sister running away when he was being eaten alive. At this point, I could see that the right side of his face was completely zombified, including his eye, which dribbled zombie blood. He said that Vegas was an awful sister for leaving him to die, so to repay her, he was now going to hunt her down and try to zombify her. He turned his focus to Socks, and declared that she was a push-over coward that simply ran away when the zombies took over the city. She retorted that she was taken when they were little, but the cat rolled his eyes. He then said that we were all enemies to him if we supported Socks, and he was gonna do everything he could to infect us. He didn't even give Vegas or Socks a chance to explain anything. It's a relief that I'm immune, or else we'd be in a lot of trouble. I got in front of them and told the cat that he wasn't going to touch them if he knew what was good for him. He sneered and left. Socks and Vegas looked away guiltily, and Birch comforted Socks. We're on our way to the city right now, and if this cat - Vegas and Socks said his name was Skylar - threatens us more, I'll get bit just to show him what for.
