I've barely had time to process apologizing to Nibu when Bat found a female cat outside of the base that needs help. At the beginning of this week, Bat snuck outside of the fence and to a stream nearby. He's done this a few times, for whatever reason, but this time, a female cat was about to hop the stream when she saw Bat and basically begged for help before he could talk. Her name is Vegas, and she's in a cluster of cats in the city nearby. So, Bat took Vegas home, and Socks immediately began to become worried, especially since Vegas recognized her. They were sisters, and apparently came from a very, very large litter from the city. Most humans were rushed out of the city, so the stray cats are surviving on their own now. Vegas asked why Socks didn't come back, and Socks briskly said that she was taken by humans and was thrown out later. Vegas didn't seem satisfied, but me and Tucker got to the point, and then Vegas explained to us. Vegas also said that only her, and two other siblings are still alive, all the others are zombies. Socks looked even more worried. I think Socks may be hiding something, but I don't have the time to drill into her. We have to help the city cats, it's the right thing to do.
