AhhahHAA This looks so good... TwT Hi! :D Here's my entry for Lumi and Umbra. Lumi grumbled for what seemed the hundredth time since her and her brother started on this little hike. "Where are we going? And if you say a special lake, I will throw you in it when we get there." Her brother sighed, and flicked his tail. "Well, at that point, I'd be lying. So how about I just say, 'be patient and you'll see'. We're almost there anyway." Lumi muttered under her breath as she followed behind him. After what felt like hours, she opened her mouth to speak her mind when her brother suddenly halted. "We're here!" His tail started wagging uncontrollably. She rolled her eyes, and peered around him. Her jaw dropped as she noticed the lake. There was certainly something different about this place. The liquid, if you could even call it that, was a silvery blue. Birds were /walking/ across it, like it was no big deal. "This is.... is...." "This is what I was trying to tell you! I saw this while trying to hunt, and I wanted to show you it." Lumi took a step towards it. She sniffed the 'water'. She sneezed as what must have been magic filled her senses. "What.....what is this place?" "A magic lake. The one thing that you told me to stop telling you." Her brother looked triumphant. She rolled her eyes. "What's so magical about it?" "Not sure. Other than the fact that this liquid can seem to hold weight on top of it, I think that we can peer into either an alternate dimension, or somewhere different." "That's absurd. It sounds like a pup's story." "That's probably because it is. If this is what I'm thinking it is, than yes. It can peer into another place through space, and possibly time." She peered into it. "There's nothing magical about it. I don't see-" Her voice trailed off as the 'water' rippled. As the waves faded, a face was staring at her. One that was most certainly not her own. She took a step forward onto it, trying to get a better look. The wolf on the other side was a dark purple, with a black fire emitting from their eyes. "Who are you?" She frowned. "Who are you talking to?" Her brother asked behind her. "Do you not see...?" 'If you were the one to activate the lake, then he wont see me.' A smooth male voice spoke in her mind, one that was most certainly not her brother. She looked down to see the wolf on the other side tilt his head. "What do you mean 'activate the lake.'? All I did was stare at it." His ears twitched. 'You heard me?' "Of course I did. What's so shocking about it?" 'No mortal has ever heard a Prinaten. Only our own kind can understand us.' "That's ridiculous. You're a Prinaten? Like I'd believe that." "You're talking to a /Prinaten/?" Her brothers jaw dropped. "What's he saying?" "Nothing smart." The Prinaten's tail flicked into view, and he growled. 'Smart? Any mortal that dares mock a Prinaten has never survived. Are you willing to mock me?' "Of course. I've been told I'm rebellious like that." "Shut up, Lumi!" Her brother hissed. 'It would be wise to listen to this wolf, girl.' The prinaten snarled. "Oh, don't listen to my brother. It's not like he can hear you." A small tingle of magic appeared on her paw touching the water. "Hey!" Her brother frowned. "You would've never had the experience of a lifetime had I not brought you here." "Like talking to a Prinaten is an 'experience of a lifetime'." She muttered. The tingling in her paw suddenly turned numb, and she stumbled forward. She yelped in pain. "What did you do?" She shouted at the purple wolf. 'Giving you the punishment you deserve, mortal.' The Prinaten snarled. "Stop calling me 'mortal'! I get it. I die. You don't. But I actually have a name." There was a long pause. After a moment, the purple wolf sighed.'Very well. What is your name?' She was so shocked that he actually listened to her, that she stared at him dumbfounded for a few seconds. 'Well?' The prinaten tilted his head, amused. "Uhh... I'm Lumi. You?" 'Lumi? That certainly doesn't sound like a mortal name.' He frowned. "It's not. My mother took inspiration from the legends." 'Hmm... I'm Umbra.' "That sounds like a girl's name." She said flatly. The black fire emitting from the Prinaten's eyes flared. 'Mortal, I would be very careful with your words....' "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I make you mad? Sorry for just stating the facts." She smirked. "LUMI!" Her brother bit her tail dragging her off the lake. She yelped. "What are you doing?" "Shut up!" He glared at her, before turning to the lake. "I am so sorry, Master Prinaten. She's just like this, and didn't mean it." "Oh I totally meant every word I said." She spoke. Her brother glared at her again. "As I was saying, we were just leaving. I hope that we haven't interrupted your day." 'Hmf. Consider yourself lucky mortal. I'll spare your life this time. But don't do it again, or else you will be learning what death from a Prinaten is like.' "Well, with that threat, I might. It's not like you did anything anyway."
Continued from instructions. (Which kinda sucks because I was almost done. T-T) As soon as the words left her mouth, a searing pain pierced throughout her. She yelped in pain, dropping to the floor. Her head pounded. She could barely feel her paws. "Lumi!" Her brother whimpered, worried. "I-i-" He nudged her with his nose as the pain faded. "You have to watch your words." He chided her. "I know..." She winced. "Come on. Before you get the Prinaten more angry." She shook herself, before trotting after her brother. Pausing, she glanced back at the lake. For a fraction of a second, she could swear she saw Umbra sitting on top of it, staring at her. But then she blinked, and he was gone. She shook her head. That... was certainly a unique experience.
