This is Shadow. She was my very third OC ever made with the biggest backstory I have ever thought of. She has a brother named Spirit, and here's how it all began. When Shadow was born, she didn't look like the drawing here. Her name was Sunshine, and she was always happy. But on her five year doctors appointment, everything was going well, but then, two nurses came rushing into the room looking very worried. They said Sunshine has been born without a tail, and it had put a deadly virus in her. And if she didn't get a tail transplant by tomorrow, she could die. Her parents were so worried that day. And when they went out to try finding a tail for her, they left Spirit in charge to babysit her. Spirit loved Sunshine. He didn't know about the tail virus though. But when he went to get a snack, he saw a piece of paper on the counter. He read it, and it was about the tail problem . He was so worried about Sunshine, and he got an idea. He rushed to the knife cabinet, and grabbed the biggest one he could find. He went and got the phone, and then Sunshine. Spirit took a big breath, and with all his might, he jabbed the knife into his tail, and cut it off. "SPIRIT, NO!!!!!!!!" Sunshine screamed. "You... need.. this tail... more...I-..I love you..." Spirit dropped to the ground. Sunshine picked up the phone and called 911. An ambulance came and took Spirit and Sunshine to the hospital. They asked Spirit what happened, he said he sacrificed his tail for Sunshine and they needed to fix her immediately. So that's what they did. They got the tail onto Sunshine and sewed up Spirit's behind. And that's how Shadow got her blue tail. And here's how she turned into Shadow. One day, Sunshine was playing ball with her friends, they had a great time. Until, a huge earthquake occurred. The Earth cracked beneath them. All Sunshine's friends scurried away, and Sunshine was knocked out. Her eyes opened to see a strange cat with unusually long, and huge claws, scars all over him, walking towards her. Then, he went into a sprint, and knocked Sunshine into a huge crack. Sunshine fell, and fell, towards bubbling hot lava far far down. Was this the end? But then, an angel cat appeared, and caught Sunshine. "You, you saved me! Who are you?" The angel said nothing. Just a smile. But then, Sunshine heard a faint noise coming from above. The huge scarred cat came falling down, and attacked the angel. The angel lost grip of Sunshine, and she fell, and fell, but the angel only had enough time to cast a spell on Sunshine, right before the hit the lava. Pain came flooding her whole body as she sunk deeper and deeper into the lava. She screamed and screamed until she got submerged in lava. She woke up later, in a dark, mysterious cave. She was in shock. How did she survive that? She tried to call for help, but all came out was a quiet whisper, "help..." panicking, Sunshine looked at her hands, they were.. SHADOWS?! She rushed to a puddle, and saw, she WAS a shadow. Her eyes were just white circles, and the rest was a black shadow of herself. She started to cry. "No.. this can't be.." And from the years to come, she named herself Shadow.
