Info: Originally greenlit during the early stages of Earth’s orbital militarization, the project was intended to prototype a new class of multi-role capital warships—agile enough to operate solo, but strong enough to lead a small battle group. Think modular weapon bays, stealth coatings, integrated AI support, energy shielding... all the cool stuff. It didn’t happen. Funding dried up. The lead contractors fell apart in corporate warfare. Prototypes were cannibalized before they even flew. The project died a slow, unremarkable death. Until the world started ending. In a last-ditch effort to get anything spaceworthy into the void, the Aura Project was resurrected. What emerged was a bloated frigate chassis that the military called a "Battleship"—one that carried heavy missiles, a few point-defense guns, and not much else. Improvements and other variants have been drawn up such as the Aura Exodus variant, which is armed with multiple turrets used by modern warships, however none have been built. And none will be made in time anyway Known Issues: 1. Missile reload times are abysmal 2. Engines are known for being unreliable 3. CIWS turrets can jam in vacuum unless manually cleaned and while unlikely, better safe then sorry 4. Some crews install exterior armor plates themselves from salvaged parts
