/!\ spoilers for the inheritance games, the maze runner and keeper of the lost cities hi! here are some of my more controversial book opinions. please don’t hate on me for these xD but tell me if you agree with any! i’ve seen a bunch of hot takes/unpopular opinions/hear me outs on scratch but i think i thought of this after seeing @pridekitty66 ‘s project <3 1. grayson > jameson xD i like jameson and avery but grayson and avery was so right for me for some reason <3 also it’s dull if it just stays the same the whole time ☹️ /lh 2. lynn painter is overrated her main characters are either stereotypical or just have too much main character energy (hear me out <3) it’s nice she’s a swiftie but then she just makes lots of her characters swifties, too 3. the naturals is better i LOVE tig don’t get me wrong but the naturals is so thrilling and awesome. also the guy i was rooting for actually got chosen ;D 4. folding the page is fine it's your book! i used to dog ear corners whenever something funny/interesting/important happened and my books are still fine. sort of- *cracks the spine vigorously* 5. listening to music whilst reading is distracting i know music is awesome, especially when the book has a playlist to listen to, and i know i put music on this project, but imo if the song you are listening to has lyrics it makes it hard to focus :) 6. harry potter is overhated maybe it's the nostalgia but the characters, writing, humour, worldbuilding, it's all great <33 i think a large reason why it receives hate is because of jk rowling. i don't like jk rowling at all, (grrr >:[[[) but that's exactly like saying taylor swift's music is trash because you don't like her as a person. ^^ 7. consistent book cover style matters when an author gets a new cover artist after all of their other books have a consistent style, it doesn't feel the same 8. unraveled was disappointing i liked it but i expected more than keefe running around disney world getting spiders in his hair and a bunch of fan written moments like ritz crackers xD 9. teresa x thomas (teresa is definitely alive trust TT) i did ship brenda and thomas at one point but teresa and thomas have gone through far more than brenda and thomas and brenda was deceiving thomas for a big part of it! 10. movies > books (kind of) it pains me to say this but if i watch a movie based on a book, i wouldn't read the book. </3 except if you read the book first, which usually happens. it is obviously better because you want the movie to be like the book instead of the other way round! the song is rockland by gracie abrams :)
