Then we place Scotland under containment from orbit to prevent other countries from taking advantage & colonizing Britain, & to keep Scotland's forces contained on Britain. Only UltraFederal forces will be allowed in the containment area. A brief overview of Marican Tripod Tactics: A "Tripod division" is made up of 15-20 "units". Each unit has 1 Tripod, 12 light hover tanks(for carrying troops) & 15 heavy hover tanks, & 3 raining gun crews. The Tripod acts as a air/space defense system, & as a "Land battle ship". It automatically has the high ground, has a large plasma based shield width that covers the troops below from space/air attack. It can spot Enemy troops from miles away, & bombard them to soften them up. Then the hover tanks move in & the troops take care of whatever is left. The Tripod needs the hover tanks as much as they need the Tripod. The hover tanks swarm around the Tripod's legs & protect them, while also sweeping for mines. They both work together with very high efficiency. The Tripod & hover tanks are able to move swiftly through any terrain, with all 15-20 units in a single division clearing away a section of the map(as command uses a grid map of the battle field) & then move on to the next section, & allow the occupation Tripod divisions to come in. The tanks also have their own(slightly weaker) shields. The occupation divisions are similar, but their tactics are a bit different since they would be defending an area instead of attacking. The Tripod spots the attackers from miles away, & the hover tanks form a "Demus Wall" around the legs of the Tripod. A Demus wall is a portable armored wall with little sections of plates that open up & a weaker plasma shield generator. On the bottom are Bayonets, the middle has basic rifle men, & the top has machine gun turrets, rocket/missile launchers, & a tank,as the hover tanks stand behind the wall, with their cannons sticking over the top to fire at the charging enemy. The tanks also serve as a backup in case the enemy is able to destroy a section of the wall, a tank can move in to fill its place. But that is just the ground, from orbit our fleets conduct gravity-based scans of the entire enemy's nation(the theory, is that each atom/energy has its own mass & thus a tiny gravitational field. & so the scanner "feels" the web of tiny gravitational fields & creates a detailed 3D map of the scanned area, detailed all the way down to the last atom) to get detailed & up-to-date maps of the battle fields to help coordinate the Tripod divisions. From space, the "Grid" supplies the divisions with energy to power them & to fuel their onboard replicators to get more ammo & other supplies.(The grid is a grid of laser satellites that spans much of the solar system. Energy from the sun is converted to laser beams, which then are shot at another satellite, which then reflects the beam to another satellite, & then repeat until the beam reaches its target & supplies the energy)
