Backstory: The K4I-DeadWater project was a marine scientific mutation, which knew nothing about anything except the aquatic laboratory. He was very curious about the outside world, but his mentors, Jack and Julia, the two scientists who had created him and for whom he held great affection, warned him of its dangers. One day, he overheard the scientists talking about him. Specifically, about how he should be eliminated. The FBI would arrest them if they saw him when they searched. At that moment, K4I-DeadWater escaped through a tunnel he had always known but never used at the end of the tank and escaped. In the open sea, he was renamed Kai, and there he was free.
