Abt the character: Name: bolt— Gender: gorl— She has a lab, ya know Backstory: Once, Bolt was the brightest young inventor in the thriving city known not just for her brilliance but for her boundless optimism. Her life changed forever during the Great Eclipse, an event that plunged the city into darkness, not just in light but in spirit, due to a devastating invasion by the rival city— During the siege, Bolt lost her family, who were prominent engineers, to an arson attack that was meant to crippeled technological advancements. Miraculously surviving but severely injured, she was left with scars, both physical and emotional, that never fully healed. Her home and workshop were destroyed, and with them, many of her ongoing projects and inventions. Fueled by grief and a burning desire for vengeance, Bolt repurposed her skills for survival rather than innovation. She built herself a mechanical heart and lungs to overcome her injuries, which not only kept her alive but also enhanced her physical abilities. The mechanical heart, while a marvel, is a constant reminder of her pain and loss, beating with a cold, metallic rhythm that she feels with every breath. Bolt now wanders the remains of the city which once shone with the light of progress and is now a shadow of its former self. She secretly helps the survivors and orphans, teaching them basic engineering to defend against further attacks. However, she is consumed by a quiet rage and an insatiable need for retribution against Shadowforge, torn between her natural inclination to help others and her desire to avenge her family. Though her spirit is scarred, her resolve is unbreakable, and she seeks to reclaim the light of her city, no matter the cost.
