sorry chat i wantted to make a thumb first before i dropped another chapter- Whoops! I fell in love with my bodyguard! Chapter 3 Gotta Go….Slow? “C’mon Sonic we’re gonna be late!” “One second little dude!” I’m not usually late, I’m always on time since I have Tails to help me keep things on track. I was leaving the movie set, I had to get to my book signing spot in just 10 minutes, and I hadn't even walked next to my car yet, and the destination was far. Then I thought of something I haven’t done in years. I walked over to Tails who had a worried look on his face. Tails was always pretty punctual, unless he couldn’t help it. He probably was thinking that it's his fault that I came out of the set later than I was supposed to. “Tails… I have an idea… how we can get there on time. Well, me at least.” Tails had a confused look on his face,with one eyebrow cocked higher than the other, and sealed the deal with a frown and the worried expression in his eyes. But then Tails knew what I was talking about, his eyes widened and his eyebrows came to level. He opened his mouth then closed it. Then he went on a rampage. “Sonic you haven’t done this in years! You don;t know what could happen, the last time you did this was when Sh-” I didn’t let him finish. I never wanted to hear that name again, even if it killed me. “Look, I’ll be fine! I got this in the bag.” “Sonic-” I got in position, my hands on the ground and my eyes looking only forward. I could feel people gathering around me, most likely wondering if I was insane or something. Then I took off. I could feel the wind in my quills, the wind slapping my face. How did I do this back then? I can barely see with the wind in my face! I took the turns down the street and I could tell I almost made it to my destination. Apparently, it looked like some thugs were in the area. I stopped running and got back to normal speed. Uh oh. The bookstore was located in a very bad part of the city. I’m not even sure that I’ve ever been in this part before! I walked towards the bookstore. It looked dusty and dilacted. Like no one has been here in years. I knocked slowly on the door. “Uhm, hello? I’m here to sign some books?” The door made a creaking sound as it opened slowly as I knocked. I walked in, I wondered if I walked into the wrong bookstore, but it looked like the same place Tails showed me a picture of. But it was lively and colorful in the photo, in real life, it just looks like a place to collect dust. I looked around, and then I realized my heart was pounding. I placed my hand over it, and it felt like it was going at sonic speed. I could feel the adrenaline in my veins, it was so familiar. I never felt anything like this in ages. I never really felt anything in ages… the only real thing I felt was with h- WABAM! My thoughts stopped immediately as something hard hit the back of my head really fast.
