Description

Credit to @TheScarfedStickman (microgame idea and idea of TV stage), CloudyGlow (Fluttershy renders), @BurgCube (level ideas), Hasbro & Media DHX (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic), and @ChachorroLouco234 (stage jingles). Well, I told you I'd take it easy and not be in a rush. I've been having a blast in other avenues since then. Funny how this microgame idea's been sitting for more than a year by now, though. If I had to chalk it up to one thing... it's the graphics. Yeah, they can be nice to see pulled off, but they can especially be a drag when working with an art style I'm not that conditioned to. Another funny thing: power meter! For those who really stuck around for a long time, you might know how I went on a tangent about how unoriginal they are, yet here I am including one in this very microgame. But at least there's some kind of twist to it, plus it's got style! On a sidenote, this microgame gets real hard fast. Actually, I'm pretty sure the high speeds may even have frame-perfects, so... good luck! Anyway, as this is a remix, here's a list of differences: - Better support for speed up to 2.5. - Vectorized backdrops. - Fluttershy is now in vector, with a separate head and body for slight animation. - Bar and text is now stylized to better complement the scene. - Refined difficulty levels: - Level 1: Yay once. The area is 45% of the meter. - Level 2: Yay twice. After the first yay, the area is 32.5% of the meter. - Level 3: Yay three times. After the second yay, the area is 20% of the meter. - Safe zone more smoothly updates between each successful input. - Sound effects taken from famous sound libraries. - Proper win screen added. - Scene slightly darkens upon a loss. - Remixed music at 120 BPM. - Text is now handled in same sprite as the power meter. [BEGIN DEVELOPER NOTE] = ASSETS = Besides the commands and stuff, this microgame has 20 costumes and 3 backdrops. = ID = No scripts rely on the microgame ID. = INTEGRATION = To integrate this into a full project, the following must be done: - IMPORTANT: Update the microgame count. - Import these as normal: the sprite, the backdrops, the music, the broadcast script (into the chain of if-loops), and the practice menu costumes. - Add the microgame ID to the list of keyboard microgames. - If applicable, add it to one of the speed lists. - Import the command into normal Action. - Import the 1 extra [FY] script in Stage. Still wish Aidan could use a separate broadcast, but until then the local timer is back, with a brightness change to boot. - If applicable, update the credits. [FINISH DEVELOPER NOTE]
