You have been wandering the dungeon for hours. Suddenly, you enter a strange rooms that loops on itself! You see a very tall robot rushing towards you. Prepare to fight... It's you vs. Robo! Use the left and right cursor keys to move, and use z to punch or cartwheel (z while pressing a direction)! Breaking his leg segments. Be careful, though, because he can activate spikes or missiles to hurt you! Robo has three types of attacking that he cycles through: Shoot: He slowly advances while shooting rockets at you. Spikes: He chases after you with really painful spikes. Run away: He shoots rockets while running away. You can hit him slightly quicker during this attack. Good luck! Also, hold f when you press the flag, and you'll have a chance to beat the record time (but it currently won't work because cloud variables are broken)! Even if you don't do this, your time will be shown when you win.
Notes: This boss battle has one (1) phase. The screen wraps. Since he's lived here for a while, Robo knows how the wrapping works. That means you can't go back and forth between the edges of the screen to confuse him. Ha ha! :P Robo's missiles get closer to him as you injure him due to him being lower to the ground. I worked on this for a day or two, then forgot about, then I resumed it yesterday. You can't hurt him when he has spikes on his wheels. However, you can knock him back while taking a bit of damage and getting knocked back yourself. His facial expressions correspond to his current attack. He's grumpy when shooting, EEEEEVVILL when he has spikes out (but you can easily tell), and angry when running away. I was going to make cartwheeling more like rolling (code for old cartwheeling still inside the player sprite, it's basically the same), but I kept wanting to use it as a dash, so I changed it to be more like a dash to make the game easier to get used to. Robo drags you around when rolling over you. So without input, you'll die in a few seconds. After sharing, I changed the name from "burple bossfight! " (that title's from before I decided to put the tall robot concept in the project) Cartwheeling is more useful than punching, in my experience. In fact, I forgot punching existed, even after I fixed a bug in the code that meant you wouldn't be able to punch normally. I actually created the concept for a tall robot guy a long time ago. In fact, this robot is the same design as the original drawing! At least, it comes from my memory of the drawing. "you vs. Robo" rhymes with "you vs. gobo", something @OsomKoolGuy made a verrrrrry long time ago. Sometimes Robo flickers all across the screen for no reason during running away cuz of his shorter hurt delay during that move. I tried to fix it but ❗️PLEASE TELL ME if it happens again❗️ Particles don't hurt you. You don't have to aim your punches! Don't just hold a direction during the spike parts; you're faster than Robo so you'll eventually end up moving towards him (you'll go so far ahead of him that it will be easier for him to move backwards to catch you, and you'll be moving in his direction. Less than ideal (not to be confused with @LessThanIdeal)). I didn't playtest this after I fixed CreepWasLost's discovery that you could just spam left cartwheel and win (I fixed it by making you unable to go through the pike weels and making you actually take damage when cartwheeling into them). You're supposed to be able to go through Robo when cartwheeling. Did I mention that cartwheeling is, like, a LOT better than punching? Robo x Stick Guy is real and official. After he defeated Robo, they went out or something. The end. Scratch is fine with saying they are together or whatever but community guidelines don't allow any more detail. BTW this was first suggested by jtime12 there is a POSSIBLE sequel planned; it's to be made by creepwasfound. chgill g/uy,; follow them.> o,r dbont stamping AND clones are used in this
