The basis for this theming was an entire stylistic overhaul to keep the show alive for the new millennium. As the Radiophonic Workshop closed in 1998, the theme's arrangement would take an entirely different approach to what came before. Plus the new stylistic direction overall would become far more serious but with bigger special effects.
