Instructions

Animation tweaks out in full screen In some of the early days of the BlackSmith nation, funding from outside sources allowed us to set up satellites in multiple star systems. One of those satellites managed to spot a medium-sized black hole in the next system over. This information was looked over due to its uselessness until now. Last year, the project HORIZON began, and it was quickly finished with the return of many BlackSmith engineers who were working on a different project. And thus Horizon's Edge was set up, and as of now, is beginning its first official startup. Horizon's Edge is a power generation base, its one and only purpose is to generate more power than can be used by the BlackSmiths. All excess power is sent to other nations or stored in case of an emergency. Horizon's Edge works in a simple way. The beginning process starts with a ring, this ring is positioned around the Black Hole at a far enough distance that it wont get sucked in, approximately 650 miles from the Black Hole. The ring is approximately 50 miles in diameter and made of mainly titanium. When the station turns on, large hydraulic pistons push out 65 by 65-foot tungsten rods that are each 91 miles long, into something called the Ergosphere. The Ergosphere is a place around a rotating black hole where all objects are forced to move in. As the tungsten rods move, they drag along a taintium ring that is inside the titanium ring. This turns the station into a giant generator coil.
