John Adams was the second president of the United States.He was a lawyer,and defended the British soldiers of the Boston Massacre. He and Thomas Jefferson didn't quite get along. They still kept in touch though.Adams and Jefferson both died on the same day:July 4th,1826. His last words were"and yet Jefferson still lives." This was very incorrect because Jefferson died earlier that same day. He also signed the Declaration of Independence.
