They lived in a pack of aurarons and generally stayed at an oasis. Sometimes they saw little creatures called humans but they were so small and pointless they thought they were harmless. They were wrong. One day, young carmine saw a human and tried to talk to it. It squeaked in terror and ran of screaming. Carmine forgot about that human and moved on. She shouldn’t have. One night, the band of humans was suddenly there. They had Strange things that shot hard metal balls. One hit her mother, gypsum in the head. She didn’t move. Carmine roared angrily but then they got her father. She recognized the human that she had scared. It was holding the strange killing thing. Suddenly she was trapped. Tied down in a net. They started stabbing and slicing her. They were playing with her, torturing her. Like a cat with a mouse. They left her for dead. But she wasn’t broken. The only thing broken was her mind……
