origamin were once folded by the most powerful and wisest clan member in a royal family, they were once used to fight armies, becoming machines of war, but once the fighting and other conflicts died down, most origamin found they had no purpose, and started trying to find inner enlightenment, often turning to become mentors of wizards and monks, some origamin found the art of paper folding soothed them, leading to many origamin filling the cities, selling their work and becoming artificers. Others were still rooted to their fighting past and stayed as fierce warriors. Others followed the path of enlightenment, becoming clerics and paladins, some found Milil, god of sin and poetry to guide them down the path of the bard, and some found inner hatred amplified by the demons of the abyss, and found a way of channeling their power as warlocks. As time went on, people started creating origamin again, but now trying something slightly different with them. For example, when their creators decided to just create the edges of their folds slightly sharper, they realised that there was something slightly different about it. This was the creation of the first subspecies of origamin. The sharpfold origamin. Once people had realised this, they got even more inventive, going on to create many new types, like the Flamefold, magifold, darkfold and much, much more.
