Instructions

Scientific name: Trioculus Catus localized name: Trikat average life span in wild: 5 - 10 years weight; 5 to 13 pounds Information: the Trikats are a very common creature in the dreamscape; coming in many diffrent shapes and sizes, the most common being the Darkat (which are known for their dark shadow-like fur). they resemble small felines with three eyes, of which they use to calculate the distance of prey in order to ration their energy for the perfect ambush. they are primarily carnivorous creatures, eating any type of meat that they can get their hands on; from scavenging to regular hunting. Trikats are a very social and intelligent animal, known for forming packs with each other and even at extremely rare occasions other creatures of different species. a pack can be made up to 5 to 7 Tricats, the largest pack recorded being a pack of 17 different Tricats. decide the leader of these packs through a tournament-like ritual in which all adult males fight in a circle with the last one to submit becoming the leader; though in certain occasions another Tricat will challenge the leader after the ritual, with the new winner becoming the new leader with the loser being kick out of the pack; often leaving to go start their own instead. lone Trikats can try and join other packs by an 'offering' like system, where they offer some type of food to the leader of the pack. if the leader chooses to the accept the lone Trikat is accepted as their own, but if they decline the offering this is often lend after by the lone Trikat getting attacked by the rest the pack members. Tricats are very territorial, often attacking any outsider packs in the area. though in certain occasions where a pack leader defeats a diffrent pack leader, the losing pack becomes one with the winner's pack. Tricat's behaviors are heavily influenced through others around them, this being a leading reason to why most wild Trikats tend to be fairly hostile and aggressive; while those closer to more urban areas tend to be friendlier. the period in which they are most likely to try and learn from others is most seen in the ages from 1-2 years old, and is know as the 'characterization period'
