Instructions

The way you play the game is simple, and all controls are ingame. However, the rules are confusing, so if you have never played blackjack before, I'm going to break it down best as possible. The goal: The goal of the game is to get as close as possible to the number 21 in your deck value, getting closer than the dealer. Each card has a different value, and depending on what you draw, will get you closer to 21 faster. You win by getting more than the dealer, or exactly 21, or if the dealer draws over 21. You lose if the dealer gets more than you when the turn is over, or if your card value goes over 21 (if your card value goes over 21, this is called a bust). If both you and the dealer have the same amount of cards at the end of a turn, the turn ends in a "push", with neither side getting the bet money. If either person gets dealt a perfect 21, they get blackjack, and receive a bet 1.5 times higher than stated. Hitting and Standing: Hitting and standing are the two main actions of blackjack. Hitting means drawing another card, raising your card value but also potentially causing a bust. Standing means ending your turn, and drawing no further cards. Special actions (doubling down and split): Doubling down is an action that can be taken on the first draw of a game. This works exactly like a hit, drawing an extra card, but it also increases the bet value. The downside of doubling down is that after it is used, your turn is over, and you cannot hit to gain higher values anymore. You only double down if you have a really good deck and a low chance of busting. Splitting is a special action that can be done when you initially draw the same card (ex drawing a queen of hearts and a queen of spades). Splitting allows you to separate these two cards into different decks, which can be played simultaneously, giving you a better chance of winning, and a second chance if you bust with one or the other. Card values: Cards are valued by their number value, with 2-10 being worth exactly the amount stated. Face cards (ex jack and queen) are all worth 10 points. Aces can either be worth 1 point or 11, whichever gets you closer to 21 or farther from a bust. Strategy: Strategies for blackjack are quite simple. If your hand is very high, its best not to hit, because if a drawn card sends you over 21, you lose. I usually prefer to stand at around 18 or above, as those hands have a good chance of being higher than the dealers. If you have a "cold" hand, which is a hand with small cards, doubling down is an option because you physically cannot bust. However, doubling down is dangerous, because if you get a low value, you can't hit higher anymore. Finally, If you can split, always split. The only time you wouldn't want to split is if you have a pair of face cards or tens, for a value of 20. Anyway thanks for reading my guide, and have a fun time gambling without the risk of losing everything :3
