Hello my little roses! How are you this fine night :3 (It's 11pm go to sleep Sharon..) So a while back I found myself unable to sleep because had the best idea for a fanfic with the theories and lore I had for AvA (back when I SEVERELY soft boi'ed Dark.. egh) so I wrote it down in a google doc at the totally not insane hour of 1AM. and apparently I was cooking at the hour ._. (Holy mother of I just checked the version history I WROTE THIS ON OCTOBER 16TH AT 1:45 AM TO 3:11 AM.. GURL. If this isn't proof you get all your best ideas at the most ungodly hours idk what is.) I wrote the part I had the idea for and then started writing a rising action/intro, then decided it was time for sleep (either that or I got distracted with venting to my friends on (site that is a synonym for chaos) =,}) and I just remembered it existed and thought I'd share what I had and fill in the gaps with context bubbles (what does that mean..??) since there is no way in the 7 rings I'm finishing this thing. Here goes nothing..! _____________________________________________ [Dark] “TCO, come on!” I called out behind me. I know it was late, but there was something I had to show him. “I’m going as fast as I can Dark! I’m tired!” he called back. I rolled my eyes. How was it possible for someone to be this slow? I ran back toward Chosen and grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the dense forest behind our house. “Coders, slow down!” “Either I pull you or you get moving” I said snappily. I wasn’t trying to be rude, but everyone changes personalities when they're sleep deprived. I guess pulling a few all-nighters in a row does make a difference. “Jeez, fine! No need to be all edgy about it” Chosen says with a slight smile as he pulls away from me. “I am not being edgy!” I shoot back. “If you say so.” He chuckled with his hands half up in a sort of surrender. “So.. would you mind telling me why you pulled me out of bed at nearly midnight and dragged me outside without so much as to change clothes?” TCO half-complained as we got closer to the forest’s edge. I was hesitant to answer for a moment, trying to find the right words to try not to make myself sound insane. “To be honest.. I don’t know. There’s just.. something.” “Something?” He stared at me as if I was crazy. Maybe I was. “I don’t know how to explain it TCO, there's just something in there that I can feel. And it feels important, so I thought we would look together.” “At midnight?” “I- Yes, specifically at midnight. I DON’T KNOW! It’s the first time I’ve felt something like this, I didn’t know if it was a one-time thing or not!” Chosen sighed. “Calm down, TDL. I don’t know exactly what you’re talking about, but feelings like that don't happen often.” “So it has to be important, right?” I say hopefully. “Probably” he replies. As Chosen grabs my hand, I tense a little bit. I’m not sure if it was because I hadn’t slept in the past few days or if it was like telling myself something was going to happen. For better or for worse, I couldn’t tell, but all I wanted to do at that moment was find whatever seemed to be calling me. “Alright, you lead the way.” It was harder to see through the forest as the canopy blocked whatever light was left from the panels above, but somehow I knew where we were going, I at least had a general direction. I led us through the tangle of trees until I saw something. A faint red glow, coming from behind a particularly thick tree. Almost like whatever it was trying to hide, or the forest was trying to hide it. “There!” I exclaimed after a few minutes of silence. I let go of TCO’s hand and picked up the pace. Chosen followed close behind me as we neared the strange glowing object. {Dark and Cho find the "virabands", Cho thinks nothing of them while Dark feels a strange attachment to them. They go back home, Cho says they should wait until morning to figure out what they are bc he's tired, but Dark is impatient and goes to try them on while Cho is trying to sleep} I stretched the wristband a little bit to put it on. “Here goes nothing” I muttered to myself. The band snapped on and seemed to adjust itself to fit me perfectly. I look down at my wrist, expecting something to happen, but after a few seconds, nothing does. “Huh. I really thought they’d do something.” I turned my wrist to examine it. “They may be useless, but they are stylish.” I smiled to myself. I moved to take it off and finally get some sleep, but as my hand touched the bracelet, I immediately pulled back. ‘Did it just shock me?’ I thought. I examined the hand that had gotten shocked and got a quick glance at some kind of energy dancing across my fingertips. I looked back at the band, only to find it crackling with what looked like crimson lightning. I jerked my hand as far away from my body as I could. As soon as I did, a sharp pain shot up from my wrist to my shoulder.
{continued} “*bad word” I yelped as I grabbed my wrist in pain. I covered my mouth. ‘TCO probably heard that..’ I thought. I looked at the glowing red bracelet again, which seemed to be crackling even more now. My hand started violently twitching, and the one that held my wrist couldn’t unclasp itself from my arm. ‘What the hell is happening?!’ The stinging sensation started to spread from my shoulder to my chest, then to the rest of my body. I collapsed onto my knees in pain.I tried to hold back tears, but was too focused on not crying out in agony as the lightning ridden band glowed brighter. It felt as if I was losing control of my own body, like everything was going numb. I couldn’t do anything except sit there, suffering. I couldn’t stay here alone. I had to do something to get this cursed bracelet off of me. I needed Chosen. I didn’t want to, but it was the only way. I couldn’t move and there was no one else to turn to. {Cho woke up from Dark screaming a bad word and assumed it was just him stubbing his toe or something until he hears him yell for help. Cho rushed to {where ever I set this} to see Dark on the ground crying while this weird red lightning surrounds him. Eventually somehow they get the band off, but there are some weird side effects for TDL, including the undying urge to destroy Cho coming back stronger and strange eye discolorations aka his scleras (the white part) turning black} There you have it :3 'right, i'm going to sleep now, and by sleep I mean I'm going to lay in my bed and hallucinate the stories that I want to animate until I fall asleep. (You will get your Cho angst Cindy, don't worry I have lots of it >:3)
