A concept that can replace the "Game Ending" version of the stall or shutdown event, making the game shut down only when an overload event finishes. Details: Once the MP(Magic Power) reaches 0, all power shuts off(as usual) and the Magic Collector goes into "Emergency Crystal Holding" mode, acting like a superstructure gravitational laser until the Crystal reactivates. (Or should it? I mean it DOES activate before all the Magic Chargers do during startup, iirc unless that has since been moved to Charger activation...) Once reactivation occurs and is successful, power will be restored, and the Collector will go back to Magic Collecting mode. HOWEVER: It can fail and have the "Startup Failure"(AKA "Startup Overload" in regular terms, but "Meltdown" in this game is referred to as a "Magic Overload") event occur since this would be a version of the automatic Crystal startup sequence.
