The episode begins by showcasing a Pokémon battle on television, highlighting the exciting world that Ash Ketchum is eager to enter. Ash, a ten-year-old boy from Pallet Town, is finally old enough to begin his Pokémon journey and dreams of becoming a Pokémon Master. He's supposed to receive his first Pokémon from Professor Oak, the town's Pokémon expert. However, Ash oversleeps the morning he's meant to get his Pokémon. He rushes to Professor Oak's lab in his pajamas, only to find that his rival, Gary, and the other new trainers have already claimed the standard starter Pokémon (Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle). Professor Oak gives Ash the only Pokémon remaining: a somewhat rebellious Pikachu. Pikachu proves to be a difficult Pokémon for Ash to handle. He refuses to stay inside his Poké Ball and often shocks Ash with his electrical powers. Professor Oak provides Ash with a Pokédex and some Poké Balls for his journey. Ash's mother, Delia, sees him off, expressing her pride and concern, and packing him a variety of supplies. She's also rather perplexed by Pikachu's refusal to stay in his Poké Ball. As Ash and Pikachu begin their journey, Ash struggles to connect with his new Pokémon. Pikachu refuses to listen to Ash's commands. When they encounter a wild Pidgey, Ash tries to catch it, but fails miserably. He learns from his Pokédex that he needs to weaken a Pokémon in battle before attempting to capture it. Pikachu continues to be uncooperative, finding Ash's struggles amusing. Later, Ash throws a rock at what he thinks is a Pidgey, but it turns out to be a Spearow. The Spearow retaliates, and Pikachu defends Ash with a Thunder Shock. This attracts a whole flock of angry Spearow, who chase Ash and Pikachu. During the chase, Ash grabs a nearby bike and flees with Pikachu. The bike belongs to a young girl, who is later revealed to be Misty. Eventually, Ash and Pikachu are cornered by the Spearow. Ash, determined to protect Pikachu, stands his ground and declares his intention to become a Pokémon Master. Moved by Ash's bravery, Pikachu unleashes a powerful Thunder attack that drives away the Spearow. This intense experience marks a turning point in Ash and Pikachu's relationship, as they begin to develop a bond of trust and friendship. As the storm clears, Ash and Pikachu witness a mysterious golden bird flying overhead, which the Pokédex is unable to identify. The episode concludes with the narrator setting the stage for Ash and Pikachu's many adventures in the world of Pokémon. Lol i made this for April Fools
