Otherwise, if the temperature is greater than 75, I will say “I’m a roasted fish,” and if the temperature is less than 60, I will say “I’m a frozen fish.” Then I will broadcast the message “next4” for the next step to happen. 4) There are two tests (phosphates and pH) missing from the Bronx River Water Testing Project and you need to add them! 5) According to the data you collected for phosphates and pH, is the Bronx River healthy and habitable for sealife? How do you know? Write your answer in detail below using evidence from your tests. 6) Customize at least 2 of following items and be ready to present your project: Create a new backdrop of the Bronx River Change the sprites to be different types of fish, humans, and ducks. Add a new organism if you have time. Change the messages that the fish, duck, and human each say for every level of nitrate, dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, phosphate, and pH.

Description

This project was created by Code/Interactive Program Director Tom O'Connell in collaboration with the math/science D1 team at Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School in the Bronx, New York. The project is intended to be an extension project to Fannie Lou's longstanding Bronx River Water Testing Project, a 6-week math and science unit that uses real-world environmental analysis in a project-based learning school.
