The waves crashed on the golden beach, making a pleasant sound. Or at least one that Tide adored. He closed his eyes, breathing in the salty air. He remembered when he was an ordinary cat, wandering this very beach. A golden tabby with blue eyes, batting at the shells that washed up on the shore. A sparkling stone had caught his eye, farther down the beach. He raced after it, relishing the feeling of the find in his fur. The stone was fluorescent blue in color, and as the sun was setting it seemed to glow. It was glittery, and beautiful. As the last ray of summer light faded from the sky, a bright beam struck the stone, causing it to flash. Tide was knocked onto his back, slightly dizzy from the light. As he got up, he realized his fur was rather warm. He padded up to the crystal, seeing it had stopped glowing. There was a strange sloshing sound every time he stepped, and looking behind him, he saw his tail was made of water! Sitting down, he felt more and more excited. He was a super-cool-awesome-warm-summer-beach-blue-water-tailed-cat! As he laid down, watching the stars, he wished he could be like this forever. And so he was. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
