This is my entry for #2. BIO (WIP) Name: Riptide Gender: male Age: 13 species: cat likes: the ocean, sailing, surfing, beaches, being outside, wind dislikes: sand, being inside, small spaces, the heat personality: bright, energetic, clumsy, ignorant, he tries to act positive to distract himself from his troubles. accessories: anchor bandana (can come off) Backstory: Riptide's mother had died giving birth to him, so he lived with his father. He lived a happy peaceful live with him until he was around 8, that was when one night his father went off hunting, and saw something that changed his life. Scientists were taking away wild animals, and turning them into- well, monsters. Riptide's father was caught spying on them, and they decided that they needed to erase his memory. Riptide had woken up, noticing his father had been gone for a very long time. Riptide decided to look for him. He found him, watching them, unaware of their plans for him. Riptide asked what he was doing, his father replied by telling him to be quiet. Suddenly, Riptide felt a cold hand whisk him up into the air. He saw his father being held by another human, and they where put into different trucks to be exported to the lab. Riptide was taken into the lab and left in a cage in a room with other cages and shrieking animals. When a human came to give him this horrible unnatural food that smelled like it was poisoned, Riptide bolted. He ran through the place, and eventually found a room where they were being tested, he couldn't get in but he could see what was happening through the glass window. A little brown mouse was strapped to a machine, a tag saying test 72 around the poor creature's leg. Something was injected into the mouse, and Riptide looked away. He heard growling and shrieking. When he dared to look back, the next test subject scared the life out of him. It was his father. He called through the window, hoping he would notice. The glass was too thick. Riptide watched in sickening horror as his father was dissected, and replaced by a robotic parts, until he was no longer a cat, but a robotic feline. The scientists stepped back and examined their work. They released the robot, but instead of being a killing machine, the robot gingerly stepped out of the machine, looking at itself. The scientists grunted with disgust and chucked it in the "failed tests" bin. Riptide couldn't watch any longer. He ran out, crying. That was when the fire started. The whole lab burned down, from a reason Riptide never knew. A few days later, Riptide approached the ruins of the lab. In the mess, he saw the little white sailor banana his father always wore because he loved the sea. Riptide put it on, and he could almost hear his fathers voice, just telling him how much he loved him. Riptide decided he wouldn't let this effect him, and carried on with his life, but always wore the bandana. As for his father, Riptide never knew, but he escaped the fire. He remembered little about his past, but he remembered he had a son that he needed to look for. He renamed himself "Digit", he never remembered his original name. Now he roams the land, looking for Riptide. THE END Yup I just gave you Digit's backstory too. Congratulations to anyone who actually bothered to read that.
