Ever’s yellow rain boots clicked on the pavement, jumping in the puddles that gathered at the edge of the sidewalk, just before the road. Busy cars of all colors drove across the road in that calm manner that Ever had grown used to in her many years of life. She skipped home quietly, the hood of her flower-covered raincoat bouncing as she did so. The tiny plants in the cracks seemed to flourish in the light drizzle, miniature dandelions glowing. Ever loved the rain.
Erminepaw stepped lightly through the never ending grass that was WindClan, avoiding the puddles that looked too deep to splash in. Her grey paws shone in the endless green, standing out grandly. Her great catch bounced along her back, soaked from the downpour. The rabbit’s long ears drooped in that dead manner, and it was heavy in a prideful way. Spring flowers usually avoided this gritty part of the moor, but tall dandelion plants shone in the rainy light. Erminepaw loved the rain.
