Click/any key to dismiss the announcement!! ~ Introduction ~ Hey guys!! Welcome to this new conept that I'm trying to introduce on Scratch - An Art Relay!!! It's pretty common on social media websites in my country, but so far I haven't seen something similar on scratch yet. (Or maybe this concept HAS been introduced, but I'm just not aware of it. In that case I apologise) . ~ What is an art relay? ~ An art relay is when multiple people collaborate on a single piece, except it's not pre-planned! Anyone can enter :D Each person adds something to the previous person's piece - a "baton" - and eventually if enough people enter we'll have a finished piece!! Remix this project to add your "baton"! Your "baton" could be adding colour, or shading, or rendering, or even just minour details! Whatever you want, basically :P In the project, I have provided the first "baton" - the lineart! So if you don't see any other remixes, please feel free to become the second "baton" by remixing and adding to my lineart!! Remember that I haven't done this before, so it might go wrong! There's a possibility that each "baton" will progressively get more pixelated due to scratch bitmap, but I'm really hoping that it won't happen :( . ~ Rules ~ 1. You ARE allowed to alter the previous piece, but please don't change too much that it's unrecognisable!! For example, you could give the character a different expression or change their clothes, or even change the lineart to fit your own style more, but please don't make a completely different piece of art altogether!! That just ruins the purpose of an Art Relay :( 2. Don't feel pressure to finish the project on the second or third "baton"!! Art relays usually have around 5 - 10 artists contributing, so add as much or as little as you want. 3. It would be preferred that you use another program apart from scratch, such as Procreate, FireAlpaca, Gimp, etc, since the quality tends to be better than scratch's. Of course, if you're confident that you can make it look good on scratch, go for it! 4. Once you've decided that you want to enter, drop a comment here! That way, we won't have a bunch of remixes :D 5. Once you've claimed the next "baton", you'll have a week maximum to finish. If you don't post a remix after that time, I'll have to give the "baton" to someone else!! Remember, you can add as much or as little as you want, so even if you don't think you've finished what you wanted to add, you should still post it! There's a chance someone else will finish it for you :) 6. Try to use the latest remix!! We're aiming for a finished art piece in the end, not several unfinished ones. The only exceptions to this should be if a) the last piece is badly done on purpose or differs too much from the original, or b) the piece seems finished. 7. Please do put effort into this if you enter! What you contribute is going to go to another artist, and it wouldn't be nice if they recieve a bunch of low-effort scribbles :( 8. The basic things, really. Don't be mean to others, don't use AI, etc. . ~ Prizes ~ Actually, I'm not sure whether to give prizes or not, because this isn't a contest.
