Fly high <3 A bit about Quackie: Quackie was a rescue bird, my parents found him after a neighbor called in. He was found sitting near the apartment complex and my parent's neighbors didn't know much about bird care. They brought him in and he was really tired. He is a parrot called a Monk Parakeet. My parents already had a love bird and budgie at that time, so those other birds were really spooked at first. My mom was worried it was too many birds and was considering giving Quackie to someone she knew, but that owner was terrible. That person would sleep with their bird at night and literally suffocated another bird to death. They decided against it. Quackie was really protective of Charlie the budgie but also really mean and bit his toes a lot. My parents moved across the USA at that point. When they moved into our house that I live in now, Quackie escaped from his cage. With their quick thinking they baited him back by holding Charlie by the tail! Quackie heard him yelling and came back. Quackie was an aggressive bird, he would bite people a lot. We made him paper monsters to attack, and I think he liked the game. He was super smart and tried to learn to talk. He could copy a clicking noise and could obey the command "go home". We never knew his age or his gender, but we assumed he was a male by his aggression. He most likely passed of old age, I think we had him for about 14 years, assuming he was already about 5-15 when we found him. He escaped from his cage another time, my dad just calmly took him back inside. Charlie mysteriously disappeared, I don't know anything about him. Chivchik the love bird passed when I was 4, so I don't remember him that well either. I had the funny moments, like the time Quackie pooped in my dad's porridge, or the time he mistook his own poop for a seed. That was hilarious! While his usual rude behavior made it hard to bond, he still understood emotion and comforted me when I was really upset. One time he flew onto my knee and let me pet him till I calmed down. He was a golden bird. I have very few videos or pictures left. I have paper monster videos, a picture of him eating out of my plate, and a few feathers. But best of all I have his legendary story and the amazing memories. He passed in 2022. Right after he passed, I had a dream. He was flying with other animals, there was a dog, a fish, and some other pets and he was flying around and playing with them. I know that after we die, there is something more. This can't be made up. Chivchik was bought by my mom, she couldn't resist. Chivchik passed of old age. Charlie was rescued from a hurricane. He disappeared one day, nobody knows what happened to him or how he broke out of his cage. (her name is Nova-Star) I should really post more about Quackie he is so awesome! When I was little I actually wanted to make a cartoon with him and always gave him a top hat :>
