Other than the crossbar, Volo can also directly corrupt the victim, when Volo does that it weaken him but the puppet actually gets a new form and new powers unlike the crossbar that just controls them, we will call these type of puppets the Shattered, oh and by the way Honair was the first ever shattered hence the name.
