This is my Au starmind :3 This is just one batch of designs so I’ll prob post more I’ll put the Au details and why I designed each cat like this below :D —————————— AU LORE:—————————— Quick warning, this is set during the events of the 3rd and 4th series, so there will be spoilers. There also might be some inaccuracies since I have to reread those 2 series to make everything accurate. Also I’m going to yap. A lot. You have been warned So in the clans, cats aren’t just cats. If you look at mothwing or dovewing or hawkfrost’s design, you may be able to see that they have unnatural features. (Swiftpaw doesn’t count really but we’ll get into that later.) I got a bunch of freedom when designing cats because of this so it was really fun ^^ Anyway this will be mentioned again soon so yeah. When good cats die they go to starclan :D but it’s not actually that good- When a cat goes to starclan they are attached to something called the Starmind (Wowie name of Au no way crazy.) This starmind is represented by a ring with multiple eyes around their head (inspired by biblically accurate angles and stuff.) This starmind is one consciousness that connects to each cat in starclan. They can take over the cats when needed, but this can be a bit of a problem. Many starclan cats want freedom from these, but it’s impossible to break or get rid of the rings. One important thing to note is that starclan is a physical place connected to the clans in this Au. Starclan is in the sky, and not even that far up. I mean, it’s really far for cats, but it’s not even out of the first layer of earth is atmosphere. This makes starclan come down and cut wings of any cats with them when they become 6 moons old like you can see in mothwing or hawkfrost’s design. They claim it’s for their own good, since the dark forest is below starclan, and they’d end up there. I’m reality, the dark forest and starclan are right next to each other, and it’s kinda 50/50 where you land. The starmind just wants to hide things The starmind can mimic the cats fairly well so they don’t spill the secret, but it can get out other ways… >:] The dark forest is really bad. There’s constant visions of the worst times of the cats life, on some days there’s random extreme pain, and even if the cat is bad, suffering there for eternity, is way overboard. Most cats in the dark forest have actually learned their lesson and regret them because of this treatment. The battle of the dark forest actually portrays the dark forest cats as the good guys in a sense. When connecting to others dreams, they spill the secrets of the starmind. (Dramatic gasp) ———————ABOUT THE DESIGNS ——————— I wanted to showcase designs of cats under very different conditions. This will show a prophecy cat, a dark forest cat, a starclan cat (one who got arguably the worst treatment) and a former non-believer cat. NUMBER 1: Dovewing Her eyes are inspired by the classic joke of Dovewings’s eyes. Except more goofy jokes in other design batches >:3 (heh…. Emo breezepelt shall rule to world.) Anyway- her ears are also really big to represent her powers! I didn’t wanna crowd her design with wings so uh yeah. I really like the proportions of my traditional sketch in this one bc she looks like such a silly goober but I had to vectorize these to keep the quality so it looks really weird NUMBER 2: Mothwing Cats that make the conscious decision that starclan isn’t real despite being taught that are given a starcollar. It reminds them that starclan is real, and can give them horrific visions about what can happen to them if they go against what starclan does. This happens to mothwing. Obviously since she has the star collar she believes starclan is real now. She had moth wings (like actually) and they were cut by starclan. I also gave her moth antenna things cuz why not NUMBER 3: Hawkfrost In starclan, injuries from death are removed. In the dark forest, uhhhh… not so much. The design of the thing is inspired by that one map part I forgot ;-; He also has cut wings. All dark forest cats eyes get swapped, with the color being in pupil and the black being the rest of the eye. The golden collar around hawkfrost’s neck (aka the dark collar) is the same thing as the star collar, except much worse. It’s placed by starclan to make their lives miserable. With this and everything else in the dark forest, hawkfrost has become convinced that his actions were bad, and with a bit of work is actually redeemable. NUMBER 4: Swiftpaw So in the books, I’m pretty sure injuries from death are removed in starclan. Well, it’s a bit different here. Instead of the injuries being removed, the entire part of them with the injury is removed due to being easier. Swiftpaw was killed by dogs, so we can imagine it was brutal. This leads to a lot of him being gone. He can not talk, see, smell, hear, or anything anymore. Poor Swiftpaw bro Uhhhh anyway yeah that’s all Imma make more soon
