Heavily inspired by LUFTRAUSERS left and right arrowkeys to turn, up arrowkey to start the engine "space" to shoot, stop shooting to repair damage WARNING! music will start suddenly when you begin, beware all headphone users! Natural Phenomena and their Counters: Fighter Hive: Fighters spawn very frequently, and have very basic A.I. No randomness, no velocity-tracking nonsense. This leads to many clumping together into what I call the Fighter Hive. Due to one bullet or bomb being able to do significant damage to this swarm of planes, the "Old School" is recommended for removing the pest problem. Missile Cloud: Submarines breach the surface often, and can release 1-4 missiles to decimate you. Since all enemy bullets are impervious to yours, the only option is to outrun them. This is where the "Blitz" comes in. With its ludicrous speed (crossing the map from one Flak zone to the next in 4-5 seconds), the "Blitz" will make missiles, and most other planes, eat your dust. Ace Warp Drive: The Ace is an impressive vehicle: capable of tracking your velocity, and wielding an autocannon, Aces can reach massive speeds rivaling even the "Blitz". They will also release a clip from their autocannon while in Warp Drive, leaving a high-velocity trail of bullets right behind them. The only real way to disable their Warp Drive is to fly alongside them, and allow them to trail close behind you until they've reached normal speeds. AA Storm: Flak Zones should be considered a deadly threat. When you enter flak cannon zones on either side of the field, flak shots quickly fill your field of view, each one dealing 10,000 damage upon hit. That's a 0.05-hit KO! --- There are several types of enemies in Aerial Assault, and each plane has a specific style for destroying a set of enemies. Bombs: The best play style for the Bombs plane is to hover over your target, and drop the bombs onto the target. This works well for Blimps, Battleships, and Submarines. Submarines can counter this easily, however, with their rocket-propelled explosives. Old School: Dropping bombs is fun, but releasing an endless volley of bullets is better. Old School is best played as a dog-fighting plane, absolutely ruining the enemy's armada in the skies. Blimps, however, will quickly end your game with a cleverly-aimed stream of bullets while you slowly maneuver away. Did I mention it doesn't have a powerful engine? Blitz: Old School might be good at dog-fighting, but the Blitz is over-the-top in speed. It can turn on a dime, and evade shots like there's no tomorrow. It has a slower fire rate, but don't let that /slow/ you down, as once battleships and blimps start firing, they won't readjust aim until they've finished firing. Use this to your advantage.
NEW CHANGES: More boss work. The Skytank and Skytank Shield are still not finished, but getting there. Halved the Submarine spawn rate. The missiles could already track you, making them 90 times more of a threat than regular bullets. Halved the Submarine and Ace healths. --- "Bombs" is an original (generic) design similar to a cross between Advance Wars' Bomber proportions and a generic commercial plane "Old School" is based off of: http://www.hightech-edge.com/wp-content/uploads/p51-mustang.jpg "Blitz" is based off of: http://wfiles.brothersoft.com/o/orange-fighter-plane-side_105987-x1200.jpg1920 The small fighters are actually just Bombers, but smaller.
