Hey everyone! There are a lot of people commenting that making generic platformers is easy and all someone has to do is copy code and change it a little bit. That's completely true. And it is probably the case for many scratchers. However, just because many scratchers do this doesn't mean all do. I spent hours making the scripts to a platformer game that I am proud of. There are many creators out there, who's passion is to code and make games that the community loves, generic platformers are just an example of such a game that the Scratch community loves. If you do not enjoy generic platformers or think that they are too easy to make, do not play them! Writing hateful comments on other people's hard-work is not the way forward and you are only discouraging new people who want to try coding.
