Chapter 1 Darkstalker returned to his home with hawks in his claws. When he entered the house, he saw his sister, Whiteout, in the living clutching her head with her claws, tears falling. He then heard his parents, Foeslayer and Arctic, fighting in the back again. After a bit, he doesn't hear them fighting anymore then has a vision of two different futures. He sees one future where he and his family are happy together and the second future where he is alone but with a crown and looking evil. When he comes back, he sees Whiteout looking at him with worry along with his mother. "Son, are you okay?" asked Foeslayer. "Yeah," said Darkstalker deciding to tell them the futures he saw, "I had a vision." This peaked Arctic's interest then he comes over to his family. "What did you see?" asked Arctic. "I saw two futures," said Darkstalker, "One with all of us happy and as a family and the other was me alone but evil and wearing a crown." Foeslayer looked at Darkstalker with worry after hearing the second future while Arctic doesn't show it but he is also worried. Whiteout goes over to Darkstalker and points to his chest. "Fog hasn't set, change is still possible." said Whiteout. This reassured Darkstalker, even though he couldn't understand what Whiteout meant. A few days after Darkstalker revealed his vision, Clearsight noticed that the paths of darkness were slowly going away. This of course confused her but she was happy that those paths were less likely to happen. During those days, Fathom noticed that Darkstalker was not talking about Animus magic or showing any signs that he used his magic. This made Fathom happy that he was completing his mission and helping his friend, however Indigo was suspicious that Darkstalker was just waiting for the right moment to use his magic. Queen Vigilance wasn't happy at all, she already had to deal with Arctic not wanting to use his magic to help her win the war but now his son, Darkstalker, doesn't even seem to listen to her ideas on what to use his magic for, even a small spell. She let smoke come out of her nostrils in annoyance and anger. "What are animus dragons even for if they won't do what I say," thought Vigilance, "I am allowing Arctic, Darkstalker, and that hybrid to live here away from the Icewings and they won't even considering do a small spell as thanks for letting them live here." She let out a small growl escape her throat know that there isn't anyone in the room besides herself. "I guess I can ask Clearsight to look into the future on how to get Arctic and Darkstalker to do a small spell for me," thought Vigilance. Chapter 2 Diamond was in her room, doing circles, trying to figure out how her spell to summon Foeslayer hasn't worked for the last few years. "Arctic must have enchanted some sort of jewelry that protects that Nightwing," thought Diamond, "No matter, sooner or later that nightwing will take that jewelry off and when she does, she will be here." Back at the Night Kingdom, Queen Vigilance was walking towards Clearsight's room. As she is walking, the servants and guards bow and get out of her way to show respect but also to not get on her bad side. When she enters the room, she sees scrolls all over the place and Clearsight writing down something on one of the many scrolls in her room. Vigilance lets out a cough which Clearsight hears and turns around then bows to her. "Your Majesty, I didn't see you there." said Clearsight. "What is it that you want to know," Clearsight continued. "I want to know if there is a future where Arctic or Darkstalker use their powers to grant me a small spell," said Vigilance. Clearsight stopped bowing and looked at Vigilance with confusion. "Well I have seen a few futures that either one of them grants a small spell of yours, but may I ask why?" asked Clearsight. "I have allowed them to live here so they should at least allow me to have a spell since I am keeping them protected from the Icewings," said Vigilance. "I will look into those futures, your majesty," said Clearsight. Vigilance leaves Clearsight's room to who knows where as Clearsight gets a little worried. Clearsight had looked into the futures that Vigilance requested before and they all led to either Darkstalker becoming power hungry or Arctic ends up like Albatross. "I will have to see if there might be a way to get deter Vigilance from wanting a spell done," thought Clearsight. While this was happening, Darkstalker and Fathom were hanging out as Indigo watched Darkstalker closely just in case he tried anything. "I noticed that you aren't talking about Animus magic or it seems like you haven't used your magic, Darkstalker," said Fathom, "May I ask what changed you?" Darkstalker paused then let out a sigh. "I had a vision of two different futures," he began, "one future I had my family and we were happy and the other one I had no one but myself and I had this crown but I looked so evil." Fathom and Indigo look horrified when Darkstalker told them the second future. One thought that went through both their minds that Darkstalker heard. "If he went down that second future's path, he could have been a way worse version of Albatross," they thought. Darkstalker didn't like that they thought he would end up like Albatross but he couldn't blame them. They saw first hand what using too much Animus magic can do to a dragon. After a few minutes, they heard Clearsight's wingbeats coming towards them and they look up to see Clearsight coming to them. When Clearsight landed, they took notice of her worry which made Darkstalker wonder what got her worried. "Clearsight, what's wrong?" asked Fathom. "Vigilance wants a small spell from either Darkstalker or Arctic which in turn doesn't lead to a good future," she said. "What kind of future?" asked Darkstalker. "Either you become power hungry or Arctic ends up just like Albatross," she said. This shocked and scared the Seawings but Darkstalker felt numb.
