Askaria has a rather sophisticated relationship between the markets and the state. Askaria rejects both socialism and capitalism as "weird". It is worth noting the main source of Askari economics was influenced by Unionist policies. Small businesses outside the farming industry are virtually nonexistent. Large corporate conglomerates usually run large industrial businesses in oil and industry, typically required to have high ranking party members sit on their boards and own shares. These companies are highly regulated, making competition very difficult. The economic development of each province varies greatly, the jungle and desert being the best (and most populated), with the oasis being average, and the southern mountain development region being extremely impoverished (and densely populated).
