--PERSONALITY ((Turns out i'm putting this in the comments now because the desc is too long :'P)) Positive: Self-assured, self-motivated, fun-loving, confident, creative, daring, bold Neutral: Independent, uninhibited, dedicated…kinda, "coolness-oriented," headstrong, thrill-seeking Negative: Reckless, selfish, forceful, unreliable, distractible, defiant, cynical, distrusting -- RESEARCH ((Apologies for how long this ended up being, i got a bit carried away ^^" Apparently i know a lot about curled tails in cats now :p )) Snaggle teeth could have a variety of origins — trauma, a deciduous tooth that didn't fall out resulting in an adult tooth erupting in an odd way due to having less room, jaw misalignments, tooth misalignments, infection ((not this, this would likely result in removal by a medicine cat, which we don't want because Epoch's little shark tooth is SO STINKING CUTE)), and probably otherwise ((sources seem to be limited on this topic)). Though these all are certainly possible in this situation ((though the chance of trauma causing only mild damage to one tooth seems unlikely to me)), i like the baby-tooth-refusing-to-fall-out option. In a comment, you mentioned that you imagined it causing gum pain, and in turn i see this as pain when pressure is put against it ((because again, we will not be removing the adorable shark tooth)). This would cause minimal difficulties – he would likely eat more on the right side of his mouth, and have a lisp. Curly tails could have a variety of origins that cause different levels of curl, ability for the tail to curl, situation in which the tail curls, etc. The tail could be fused in place/have minimal movement, be wound tightly to look akin to a bobtail ((i saw one example of this, and it implied a sort of spinal deformity that works as a sort of gradient — the brain is unaffected, but the back legs are somewhat, and the tail is the most, this wouldn't be Epoch though)), or, as i've seen show up most often, a tail that can move freely but curls when content. Curly tails are likely to be a polygenetic trait as well, and there's evidence for them being sex-linked as well. The American ringtail is a notable example, but isn't the only example — this breed is rare & likely expensive ((so i couldn't see a small candy store having one of these cats imported to them)) and again this trait is likely polygenetic, it tends to pop up in random-bred pairs, so i see this as the most likely cause for Epochkit. Really, i see either as being possible, but either way i'm going by the ringtail rules here because it's easier to find sources. There has been minimal research done regarding communication impairments with curled tails, at least from what I can find/access. Tails are certainly a relevant aspect of communication in cats, but this aspect of communication doesn't seem to be impacted too heavily for cats with curled tails. Most postures can be assumed by the tail ((given that it isn't fused and can move freely)), but the "tail up" posture, used to indicate friendliness, instead causes the tail to curl. This is attested by multiple sources that mention how ringtails, and curled-tailed cats in general, tend to have the tail curl back when content/happy. With unfamiliar cats, this would likely cause a minor language barrier — or as some articles put it, give the cat a bit of an "accent" — but seems to have fine communication with familiar cat ((think, having a friend or family member with a weird way of talking. You can understand them easily, but folks who don't know them might take a bit longer to understand)). In the Warrior Cats universe, however, communication probably relies less heavily on body language because it's more verbal, but it's still relevant to keep in mind because these are still cats. This would impact the tail-signal code used for hunting and the like, and Epoch would use a totally different code, modify the one currently used, or just not use the tail-signal code at all.
EPICKIT! I'm really sorry for how late this is. I only noticed this litter recently ((i think i saw it before whilst i was working on something else)), while it was in the process of closing.
