Before we start, this activity is to be able to explore all the different colours that can occur in auroras, and to discover animals, plants, etc in nature that you have never known about before! This is the project which reveals the activity for this week’s theme! See the theme reveal here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1143947653 This week’s theme is Aurora Borealis, or The Northern Lights! The Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, is a natural light display that happens in the Earth's polar regions. It’s caused by particles from the sun colliding with gases in the Earth's atmosphere, creating beautiful, colorful lights that "dance" across the night sky. For this week’s activity, there is a picture of the northern lights inside the project in the ‘Main Things’ sprite. Based on that image you have to create a mood board based on the colours in the aurora! Find pictures of things in nature like plants, animals, landscapes, etc, and add them to your mood board. The colours found in the picture are green, yellow, red and orange, so all you guys have to do is find things in nature that are those colours and add them to your mood board! You can see an example I did in the project! There’s a base that you can also use in the ‘Main Things’ sprite, and you can also find my example there. You must remix this with your mood board, as then I can keep track at the end of the week of who / who didn’t do the activity. All club members and the co-captain must do the activity, and there’s an example remix that I also made for anyone who’s interested. If you’re not too sure what a mood board is (you don’t need to know what one is but if you’re interested) you can check out this one with the theme of ‘fearless’ by @--tranquility. I’d also say it’s based on the colour yellow: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/832964579 If you are struggling to find things in nature that are the colours you found, try searching ‘what are [insert colour(s) things in nature’ and loads of results pop up! You can also draw a picture of something if you can’t find an image of it :) You’re allowed customise this however you want! The more effort you put into this activity the more likely you are to get the award of the week! You’re allowed use Canva or anything similar for this activity :D If you aren’t able to do the activity, please let me know along with the reason on why you can’t participate. If your reason is valid, you may not do the activity, or if there’s a problem I can try to resolve it :) That’s all! Again, please don’t hesitate to ask me for help if you’re confused or stuck.
