Stats: Height: 50 Meters Length: 60 Meters Weight: 20,000 metric tons The lore: In the year 1954, the Americans detonated a weapon of mass destruction- the hydrogen bomb. Just a few moments after it was set off, it vaporised everything that was caught in it in a magnificent yet terrifying flame of death. However, amidst the chaos, something survived... A few months after the test was conducted, multiple reports of sunken ships in the pacific began surfacing across Japan, along with sightings of a cryptic creature, nicknamed the "giant sea dinosaur." Many Japanese citizens theorised the sinkings could be caused by that monster, due to how the reports appeared at similar times. However, the government didn't believe those “absurd” rumours, and dismissed them as accidents caused by crew members or natural disasters. And so, life in Japan continued normally. Then, the day came. On November 3rd, 1954, a giant unidentified creature made landfall on Ginza, Tokyo. It demolished the district's buildings effortlessly, and crushed whatever came across its path. Shortly after the giant creature was reported, the Japanese government immediately sent multiple tanks and fighter jets to the location to neutralize the threat. Yet, the creature was barely harmed. Tank shells, missiles, and explosives... Every single thing the military used was almost completely insignificant towards the gigantic creature. Fortunately, the military managed to overwhelm it, and hold it off long enough for multiple civilians to evacuate the area. Just as things were going well for the humans however, the creature suddenly stopped retaliating, turning its body to the remaining tanks, its spikes starting to glow a bright, ghostly blue. The creature exhaled a gigantic cloud of superheated, dark grey smoke from its mouth onto the earth, which slowly spread throughout Ginza. The smoke slowly turned into fire, engulfing the entirety of the district in a searing, crimson inferno. Then, the creature swung its head up. The fire quickly turned into a blinding, blue ray of pure atomic energy, shooting towards the tanks at lightning fast speeds. This attack, later named the “heat ray”, instantly incinerated anything it touched, and generated a nuclear explosion even stronger than the bombs that hit Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the smoke cleared, what was once a thriving district full of people was turned into a desert of nothing but rubble, dust, and flames in just mere minutes. The creature let out a long, echoing roar, then slowly stomped its way back into the depths of the ocean. In the aftermath of the devastating attack, approximately more than 3000 people were killed by the monster. Not just that, almost the entirety of Ginza was heavily contaminated with strontium-90, leaving it uninhabitable for a long period of time. This turned the creature, now named "Gojira", into a huge topic of discussion and speculation across Japan. Some believed it was a sign of the end times, others thought it was simply an undiscovered creature. But one thing was sure about Gojira. It was the embodiment of nuclear weapons. It was the folly of man. It was humanity’s judgement.
