Women's History Month is a month to recognize the benefaction of women to American society and culture. It also helps us remember the ongoing fight for gender equity. As a female, I know what it is like to be discriminated because of my gender. When I was in 2nd grade, some boys were playing on the basketball court at school, and I got another basketball and started dribbling. They ran over to me and started pushing me and yelling "Boys only! Boys only!" I have always loved playing and watching basketball, so this made me sad. I feel we should all at least think about this holiday.
