But she still kept going. She finally felt like she was alone, and she stopped. She looked down at the vine belt she wore over her chest, and the feathers she had been collecting on it. Each of them were a final memory left from those she lost. She closed her eyes and sighed, before hearing the sound of a twig snapping behind her. Impulsively, she leapt around into a defensive position, before seeing a small, pure white figure. A kit. She covered herself with her tiny wings, she looked a little bundle of feathers and fear. Lav softened her position and slowly approached the infant. She asked the small kit if they had someone protecting them.
