He peered at all the little fishies, swimming contently. 'And unaware of me!' He lifted his paw, waiting for a big fish to pass by. He remembered when he was afraid of water. It was scary. Until the best thing of his life happened, Li, and Li helping him through his fear. Now, he could even fish in wild rivers! He perked up spotting a fish, a humongous fish. He bet his kits and his mate would love it! As the fish swam closer, he tried to grab the fish and flinched as it flailed around, splashing water all around him. He could feel his claws loosening on the fish and scrambled forward to go and reach it with his other paw, or, at least, that was the plan. He slipped on the rocks and fell into the river. He immediately let go of the fish, that wasn't his priority now! He flailed around in the rushing river. "Help," He yowled out in horror before gasping for air. Sage tried swimming up back to the riverside but continued to be pushed down by the water. Thoughts rushed through his mind as he started to panic more. No. This couldn't be happening. Was he really going to d!e? But what about Li, his mate? His children Dew and Rivulet? Finch, his best friend since kithood? The only good thing would be being able to see all his friends that left. He slowed his movements, trying to get a break for himself. He could feel the water push him past a few rocks before. Crack.
