So, this is an AU where Nexus survived getting bl@sted by a fireball (don't ask how, haven't decided yet) and Anila takes him to her dimension, where she helps repair him. In her dimension she lives in a skyscraper that's in what's pretty much a post-apocalyptic abandoned city, it's always dark and stormy outside. In this AU, Nexus still cared about his family deep down, so when Sun bl@sted him...he was also hurt emotionally, so he's depresso espresso now, and Anila is still dealing with finding a permanent cure for the virus in this dimension, hence it being a broken happily ever after. Whether on not they get a happy ending, I haven't decided. But Anila has Nexus up in the penthouse, which, unlike most of the floors in the skyscraper, is undamaged.
