The expedition approaches the Confederation's borders, but it is halted at Tunne Ridge when multiple large forces of tribes bearing Confederation imagery launch an ambush while the army is within the ridge. Shortly after the beginning of the ambush, the more professional armies of the Confederation emerge from nearby, having forcibly recruited these mercenaries through intimidation of local tribes. They engage the distracted Tetravopolan forces and wreak havoc. The battle is still ongoing - while the general state of technology is about evenly matched across both sides, the Confederation armies and their mercenary allies far outnumber their opponents.
