I wanted a way to send commands to my Scratch project and make it do specific actions. Originally, CatLib wasn’t meant to be shared. I created it just for myself while working on Deadzone. I needed an easy way to run actions with different settings from anywhere in my project, without using Scratch’s message system. One day, I was talking to a friend about my idea, and he made me realize something: CatLib could be useful for other people too! Instead of being just for Deadzone, it could work in any Scratch project. I could even make different modules (small parts of code) to handle different actions, so people wouldn’t have to rewrite common things—like a score system—over and over again. At first, all the modules were inside one sprite, but that made updates really difficult. So I decided to separate them into different sprites, called Libs. Each Lib handles a specific set of commands, making it easier to organize and update. Now, CatLib is a real project of its own! I hope it will help you in your Scratch creations. I tried to make it as simple and easy to use as possible. (more in the doc) Feel free to modify it to fit your needs. You can even create your own Libs using the templates included in the project! No credit is needed—just knowing that someone is using CatLib in their project would already be amazing.
