I know the main thing is just reading books but this could be just like a little minigame you could also do. so you'd have to dodge obstacles on the shelf and when you lose you fall on the ground everything fades black except you as you rub your head for a few seconds and get up as it fades out of black into the main overworld section. I think that would be a cool little transition. it would also probably be an infinite (or at least pretty long) minigame and it gets progressively harder.
could someone code the bookshelf scrolling? I'm bad at using clones. I could probably code the obstacles myself but I'm not gonna put too much time into this until it actually gets ok'd to be put in the game.
